Your store stays yours. Only the keys we need.
As a Shopify Partner, Intelligize Digital builds on development stores we hand over to you, or works inside your store through collaborator access you control. You never share a password, and Shopify bills you directly.
Intelligize Digital is asking for access to these areas. Turn any of them off before you accept.

How we work on a Shopify project
The order rarely changes, whether it’s a theme rebuild, a custom app or an ERP connection. Nothing half-finished shows up on your live store.
A short audit, then a written scope
We look at your theme, installed apps, checkout setup and any integrations before quoting. Most surprises live in old apps that left code in the theme after being uninstalled, so we check for that early.
Access: a collaborator request or a fresh development store
For an existing store we send a collaborator request from our Partner Dashboard, asking only for the sections the job needs. For a new store we create a development store, build there, and transfer ownership to you later.
Theme work happens on an unpublished copy
We duplicate your live theme and work on the copy, usually through Shopify CLI and a GitHub repository so every change is tracked. You get preview links to click through on your phone. Your customers keep seeing the published theme the whole time.
Apps and checkout changes get tested in a development store first
Custom apps are built with Shopify CLI, run against a development store, then installed on your store as a custom app. Checkout changes use checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions, since checkout.liquid is no longer supported. Some checkout surfaces need Shopify Plus, and we tell you that before designing anything.
Publish, place real test orders, watch the first hours
We publish the new theme or switch on the app, run a test order through each payment method and shipping zone, and keep an eye on orders and webhooks for the rest of the day. The old theme stays in your theme library so rolling back takes one click.
Hand-over, then access on your terms
You get notes on what we built and where it lives. If you want ongoing help, our collaborator access stays; if not, you remove it from your staff settings and that’s that. Ongoing care is covered on our support and maintenance page.
Shopify Partner terms you’ll hear from us
Six words that come up on almost every first call.
- Partner Dashboard
- Shopify’s back office for agencies and app developers. It’s where we create development stores, send collaborator requests and manage apps.
- Development store
- A free Shopify store for building and testing. It can’t take real payments until it’s transferred to you and you choose a plan.
- Collaborator account
- Access for an outside partner that doesn’t use up one of your staff seats. You pick the permissions and can remove it any time.
- Collaborator request code
- An optional code you set in your store’s settings. A partner needs it to send you a request, which stops unexpected ones.
- Unpublished theme
- A copy of your theme that customers can’t see. We build on it and you preview it, then it gets published on launch day.
- Custom app
- An app built for your store only, with no App Store listing. It’s how most one-off integrations and back-office tools get installed.

Will Intelligize Digital own my Shopify store?
No. Your store, plan, billing and data stay in your name. We work through a collaborator account with the permissions you choose, or build on a development store and transfer ownership to you before launch.
How do I give you access to my store?
We send a collaborator request from our Partner account. You see exactly which areas we are asking for, can add or remove permissions, and can require a collaborator request code. You can remove our access at any time.
Do I pay you or Shopify for the plan?
Shopify. Your Shopify plan and any app subscriptions are billed by Shopify to you. Our fees for design, development and support are separate and agreed in writing.
Can you work on Shopify Plus stores?
Yes. We build and integrate on both Shopify and Shopify Plus, including checkout extensions, B2B and ERP connections.
What happens to the development store after launch?
Once the build is approved, we start an ownership transfer. You accept it, choose your Shopify plan and the store becomes yours, with our collaborator access only if you want ongoing help.
Is a Shopify Partner the same as a Shopify Expert?
No. Anyone building for merchants can join the Shopify Partner Program; that’s what we are. Shopify runs separate directory and programme listings with their own criteria, and we don’t claim any of those here.
Can you work on our store without customers noticing?
Yes. Theme work happens on an unpublished copy you preview through links, and apps are tested in a development store first. Customers only see changes on launch day.
Do you need access to our orders and customer data?
Only if the job needs it. A theme rebuild usually needs themes and products; an ERP connection needs orders. You can switch individual permissions off in the collaborator request before accepting.
Can you build us a custom app instead of paying for several public apps?
Often, yes. If three apps are each doing one small job, a single custom app can be cheaper over a year and lighter on the storefront. We’ll compare the two in the audit.
Is TackQuote available on Shopify?
Yes. TackQuote, our B2B quoting app, is listed on the Shopify App Store with a free plan. We build and run it, so we deal with Shopify’s API versions and app review ourselves.
Ready to send a collaborator request?
Tell us your store address and what you need. We will request only the access that job requires.
